Hop w podprzestrzeń, nur w zapamięć, etc - - pierwsze dzieło Jana po wyłączeniu sie z facebooka z początkiem roku - tradycyjnie rozbiegana zbieranina dźwięków granych przez sen na przestrzeni kilku ostatnich lat, haczących o wszędzi i o nigdzie. Są tu pętle orkiestry dętej z Jasnej Góry, tekhno rudimentalne, coś pożyczonego z kasety kupionej w lombardzie za złotówkę, programowane casio bity nie na 4/4 z psychodeliczną gitarą, ptaki nad jeziorem rusałka.

Hopping intu subspace, Diving into prememory etc - - JLFS's first work after logging out of facebook with teh beginning of this year - as per tradition, scampering heap of sounds played half-asleep within the last few years, drawing from everyt=where and nowhere. We have looped brass bands from Jasna Góra, something borrowed from a cassette bought at a pawn shop, preprogrammed, non-4/4 casio beats with psychedelic guitar solos , birds over the Rusałka lake.

To album dla mojego zmarłego dziadka, który był fanem Karola Maya, kiczowatych seriali akcji z lat 80 tych, oraz języka niemieckiego. By uczcić jego pamięć, stworzyłem dwa utwory. Jeden z niemieckiego filmu "Winnetou" z 1963 roku, drugi z sampli pobranych z kultowych seriali z lat 80-tych, np "Macgyver" czy "Drużyna A".

This is an album for my late granftaher, who was a fan of Karl May, cheese action series feom the 80-ties and the German language. To cherish my memory of him, I created two tunes. One made of the German movie "Winnetou" from 1963, and the second one made from samples taken out of cult 80s action series, such as "Macgyver" or "The A-team".

Szóste wydawnictwo Deftechnixks to EP składająca się z 6 utworów o charakterze rockowym. W każdej z piosenek, każda z 6 strun gitary została nagrana oddzielnie. Każda z powstałych piosenek, uzupełniona o perkusję, bas, klawisze i wokal, została poświęcona jednemu członkowi najbardziej znanej SZÓSTKI - bohaterów serialu "F·R·I·E·N·D·S". Do ułożenia słów każdej z piosenek użyto wyłącznie 6-literowych wyrazów wypowiedzianych przez odpowiedniego bohatera w 6. odcinku 6. sezonu serialu.

The sixth Deftechnixks release is an EP consisting of 6 songs in the rock music vein. In each of the songs, each guitar string has been recorded separately. Each resulting song, accompanied by drums, bass, keyboards and vocals, has been dedicated to one of the most famous SIXES of all - hero of the iconic series "F·R·I·E·N·D·S". To compose the lyrics of each songs, exclusively six-letter words were used, uttered by each respective character in the 6th epiosde of the 6th season of the series.

10. Deftechnixks - "Reliefless"

Zaszczytne 10. miejsce przypada okładce do "Reliefless", mniej za styl, bardziej za pomysł - postać gitarzysty na której narysowanie artysta za każdym razem daje sobie o jedną sekundę mniej. Świetne nawiązanie do treści albumu, na którym wiecznie eksperymentujący z rockową formą Deftechnixks zdecydował się zrezygnować ze zwrotek i stworzyć płytę dwunastu powtarzających się refrenów, każdy kolejny ze zwiększoną o 1 ilością nut i dźwięków w segmencie. Od 1 do 12. Dla przykładu, prezentowany "Marks In The Sand" ma 7 słów w refrenie, gitara, bas i klawisze grają po 7 dźwięków, a perkusja wykonuje w kółko 7 uderzeń. Ni mniej ni więcej.

The honorable 10th place goes to the cover for "Reliefless", less so for style and more so for the idea - a depiction of a guitar player, for which the drawer has 1 second less every time. A great reference to the idea of the album - Deftechnixks, ever-experimenting with the rock form decided to make an album without verses, only with eternally repeating choruses. Each song becoming 1 element longer than the previous one. For example, presented song no. 7 "Marks In The Sand" has 7 words per line, the guitar, bass and keyboards play 7 notes every loop and the drums beat 7 times, no more no less.

9. Wuj Mietek - "Wuj Mietek"

Na okładce, wyluzowanej i imprezowej jak cała płyta, występują Jan Strach, Stach, Wuj Mietek który zawsze duchem i chuchem był z nami, ale uwaga - w tle gościnnie występuje również babcia Urszula. Babcia Urszula jest obecna na jeszcze jednej płycie ze stajni Underpolen - ciekawe, czy domyślicie się na której? Podpowiedź - macha na niej tęsknie do fotografa.

The cover, chill and party-like just as the music therein, stars Jan Strach, Stach, Uncle Mietek who has always been with us in spirit with his spirits, but hello - in the background there's also grandma Urszula. Grandma Urszula appears on one more album cover from Underpolen, do you know which? Hint - she is waving there to the photographer emphatically.

Hej, czy wiedzieliście? W okładce do płyty "Rejestrator" ukrytych jest co najmniej 10 wyrazów "LUTY". Podobnież, wśród pozornie nieprofesjonalnych, domową metodą nagranych, półimprowizowanych utworach ukryte są prawdziwe perełki psychodelicznego lo-fi rocka!

Hey, did you know? In the cover for "Rejestator" we have hidden at least 10 words "LUTY". Accordingly, within the apparently amateurish, home recorded, halfimprovised tunes there ley hidden genuine gems of psychedelic lo-fi rock music!

7. Secrets Of the 45 - "Dvaelkvaela"

Wystarczy tylko rzut oka, na zwiewny napis jakby rozświetlony magicznym światłem, by od razu pojąć jaki będzie album - pełen mistycznego, minimalnego ambientu. Albo nowa Enya. Ale bardziej ambient. A tak na serio okładka powstawała przez długi czas, stworzona wyłącznie za pomocą nakładanych kolejno kilkunastu zdjęć świecy - adekwatnie do tematu płyty, którym jest święto Matki Boskiej Gromnicznej, a muzyka stworzona z pieśni kościelnej granej na tę okoliczność - "Przyjmij, O Najświętszy Panie"

One glimps at this cover, the fragile writing glowing in the magical light, to know what kind of album this is going to be - full of mystical, minimal ambient. Or it could be the new Enya. But more probably ambient. Jokes aside, the cover was sculpted for a long time, entirely by layering a dozen or so pictures of lit candles - pertaining to the topic of the album which is the holiday of Candlemas. The music in turn was created out of the church song sung during this holiday - "Accept, Oh Lord Almighty"

6. Don't Look At Me I Am Deformed - "Ha Ha Ha Oh ¯\_(ツ)_/¯ "

Zarówno tytuł jak i okładka niniejszej płyty niech służy za pomoc naukową dla słuchaczy skonsternowanych zawartością. Tytuł opisuje reakcję przeciętnego słuchacza: uśmiech, po czym smutną reakcję na zbyt szybki koniec. A sample w programie audio, ułożone w kultową ikonkę stanowią komentarz samego twórcy do odwiecznego zapytania: "Co chciałeś w ten sposób przekazać?"

Both the title and the cover of this album should be treated as a science prop to help listeners confused by the musical content. The title describes the reaction of an average listener: excitement followed by sad realisation that the song is alreay over. And the samples from the audio software arranged into a cult icon illustrate the creator's comment in response to the inevitable question: "What did you mean to convey with your art?"

5. Nhumbhrukh - "Niemoc"

Zainteresowanym spieszymy z wyjaśnieniem: Zdjęcie przedstawia czaszkę osła od spodu, przepuszczoną przez rozmaite efekty i połączoną z ekranem ładowania Commodore 64. A gdyby czaszka osła przepuszczona przez efekty i połączona z ekranem ładowania Commodore 64 mogła mówić...z pewności nagrałaby album w stylistyce digital noisegrind. Może właśnie taki jak "Niemoc".

To whomever is interested, we explain: The photo depicts a donkey's skull from below, put through distortion effects and combined wih the loading screen of Commodore 64. And if a donkey skull put through effects and combined with a loading screen of Commodore 64 could talk...it would surely record an album in the digital noisegrind vein. Maybe just like "Niemoc".

4. Jan Strach - "Trawiaste Miasto"

Jan Strach, długoletni kolekcjoner starych planów miast i map postanowił zrobić wreszcie użytek ze swej przykurzonej, oldskulowej kolekcji i z ich okładek ułożył ów barwny kolaż figurujący na okładce "Trawiastego Miasta". Ale im dłużej będziecie się przyglądać, tym więcej dostrzeżecie przeplatających się elementów, dorysowanych szczególików, oraz...wyluzowaną postać z kawką, znaną z innej płyty Jana Stracha!

Jan Strach, longtime collector of old city plans and maps decided to put his dusty, oldschool collection to use and out of the plan covers he assembled this colorful collage featuring on the cover of "Trawiaste Miasto". But the longer you look, the more you will notice various intertwined elements, tiny details added and...a chill person with coffee, taken from another Jan strach album cover!

3. poj.wlkp - "Do Zorzy"

Pejzaż zniekształcony przez wspomnienie, wypalony we wnętrzu głowy aż zaczyna przypominać przepaloną kliszę. Podobnie jak muzyka poj.wlkp, "boleśnie wydarta z dna serca", okładka lokuje się gdzieś między pięknem a boleścią, podobnie jak wykonawca.

A landscape distorted by memories, burned in the inside of the head, until it starts to resemble a warped photographic film. Just like poj.wlkp music, "painfully ripped from the bottom of the heart", the cover situates itself somewhere between beauty and pain, just like the musician.

2. Jan Strach - "Biurwa Fantomatyczna"

Jest wieczorowe światło w biurze. Jest zapierająca dech w uszach miejska panorama za oknem. Jest trójwymiarowa grafika komputerowa, i wielki, wiecznie obecny kontrast - jaskrawa, spiczasta, spięta postać przy instrumencie. I miękka, spokojna postać przy drugim instrumencie. Wielki hałas i piękna mroczna melodia jak zawsze koło siebie u Stracha Janka.

We have evening lighting in the office. And we have a breathtaking city panorama behind the windows. We have three dee computer graphics and the everpresent great contrast - a bright, sharp, uptight person at one instrument. And a soft, focused person at the other instrument. Big noise and a beautiful, dark melody, coexisting, as always in Jan Strachs creation.

1. Akcja Zorganizowanej Przeciętności - "Dżon"

Szalona okładka płyty "Dżon" trafnie oddaje szalony kolażowy casio-pop Akcji Zorganizowanej Przeciętności. Stworzona została za pomocą znaków PETSCII, dostępnych na komputerze Commodore 64. Nadal nasza ulubiona, poprawia humor samo spojrzenie na nią i przypomina o jaskrawej muzyczce wewnątrz ujętej. W płycie zakodowane imiona dzieci twórcy, ciekawe czy ktoś się dopatrzy!

The crazy cover for "Dżon" aptly illustrates the zany collage-casio-pop of Akcja Zorganizowanej Przeciętności. It was created using PETSCII signs available on Commodore 64 computer. This one is still our fav, just looking at it makes us smile and remember the bright music within. Encrypted in the signs are the names of creator's children, wonder if you will find them!

10. Projekt Luty - "Poczuj Mnie" [album: Skóra]

Co specjalnego w tym riffu, pytacie??? No cóż, zgodzę się, że wybór nieco kontrowersyjny, ale posłuchajcie. Po pierwsze, nie ilość akordów decyduje o przeboju (dowody tutaj i tutaj), a i energii kawałkowi nie można odmówić; Po wtóre: Utwór, a raczej wideo jest legendarne, jako że jest to pierwszy materiał zamieszczony w sieci przez UNDERPOLEN, a co za tym idzie, stanowi symboliczny początek Netlabelu! No i jak pięknie prezentuje nasz Perfekcyjny zespół, Perfekcyjnie sklejając kilka ich Perfekcyjnie zagranych koncertów w jeden Perfekcyjny teledysk. Więc ląduje w rankingu przez koneksje, koniec i kropka.

What is so special about this riff, you ask???Well I'll agree this choice is a little controversial but listen here. First, it is not the amount of chords in a riff that a hit song makes (case in point here and here), and you cannot say this piece is not equally energetic; Second, this tune, or rather this Hi-Quality music vid is the very first piece of music put online by UNDERPOLEN, which makes it the symbolic beginning of the Netlabel! And just look how beautifully it shows our Perfect band, Perfectionally gluing some of their Perfectly played concerts into one Perfect music vide. So yeah, it is here thanks to connections, deal with it, moving on.

9. Deftechnixks - "Lizard Girl" [album: At Dusk I Painted Your Lips EP]

Nie jest tajemnicą, że w Underpolen kochamy rzeczy hałaśliwe, ale jednocześnie nieoczywiste i potykające się o własne nogawki. Tak jest też w wypadku tej płyty Deftechnixks, nagranej w oparciu o opatentowane "Głuche Techniki" - zestaw zasad wdrażających przypadkowość do muzyki w kontrolowanym stopniu. Ten utwór jest chyba najbardziej zorganizowany z całej płytki, ale złamane metrum oraz wspaniały skok dynamiki w refrenie sprawia że riff, mimo nurzania się w miksie jak spławik, nadaje całości mistycznej energii.

Tis no secret that here in Underpolen we love noisy things that at the same time are not obvious and also trip on its own shoelaces. This is also the case with this Deftechnixks EP, which was recorded based on patentet "Deaf Techniques" (get it?) - a set of rules implemented to include chance into rock music in controlled amounts. This tune may be the most organised of all on the record but  the broken meter and a gloriuos jump of dynamics in the chorus makes the riff, however bobbing in and out of the mix, infuses the whole with mystic energy.


8. Jan Strach - "Karty" [album: Jan Strach Piszczy w Narożniku E.P.]



Jak wszystkie EP-ki Jana Stracha, również ta służy jako zbiór utworów zebranych pomiędzy albumami długogrającymi, pięknych i chwytliwych lecz nie pasujących stylistycznie w danym czasie. Na "Piszczącym Janie" mamy dziecięce melodyjki, mgliste wyznania, syntezator i casio-punk. Mamy też karty, z perkusją zrobioną z roweru i hipnotycznym riffem, pod koniec złamanym drugim hipnotycznym riffem [2:32]. Nie mogąc się zdecydować, które nagranie ścieżki gitarowej pasowałoby bardziej, Jan Strach nałożył na siebie WSZYSTKIE. I tak to się wszystko złożyło w wielką moc, jak na załączonym obrazku. A raczej tuż obok niego.

Like all Jan Strach's EP, this one also serves as a collection of tunes gathered between long-playing albums, tunes pretty and catchy but simply not fitting stylistically into the longplayers. On this album we have childish melodies, blurry confessions, synths and casio-punk. And we also have "Karty" [Cards] - with percussion made out of a bike and a hypnotic riff, which shifts gears into another hypnotic riff near the end of the tune. Unable to decide which recording of a guitar track to use, Jan Strach decided to stack them ALL on top of each other, combining into a powerful whole, as you can see above.


 7. Momolot - "Momo Gra w Brzuchu Wieloryba" [album: 1]

Riff następuje nie od razu - kto więc nie ma akurat nastroju na "podwodne jam session" (jak zresztą określić można klimat całej płyty), zaproszony jest nieśmiało do [2:48] a potem śmiało do [3:54]. Kiedy akurat Momo nie zagłusza. Słyszeliście? Czy też porwała was ogromna rozgwiazda? :O

It takes a while for the riff to emerge - so if you don't feel like an "underwater jam session" (which can describe the amosphere of the netire album), feel free to dive timidly into [2:48] and bravely into [3:54]. When momo is not playing keyboard over it. Did you catch it? Or have you been abducted by a giant starfish? :O

6. Jan Strach - "Mijałem Się z Marianną" [album: O.O.S.]

Wiele jest muzycznych peanów do palenia marichunany. Wiele jest też społecznie zangażowanych kawałków które narkotykom, nawet miętkim, mówią: nie! Niech tłumaczy się przez pierwszą połowę, a w drugiej [1:57 - ...] opisze jak sobie wyobraża jak by to było, za pomocą SOCZYSTEGO stoner-riffu ze szczyptą psychodelii, a jak.

There have been may musical tributes to the smokings of marijunana. There are equally many songs actively saying "No!" to all drugs, including the softest. Tell me, however how many songs out there making the bold declaration: "I have never smoked marijunaen, even when there was an opportunity, although I woul dhave nothing aginst it, but simply things worked out that way"? - leave it to Jan Strach. In fact let him explain it for the first half of the song, and in the second [1:57-] let him describe how he imagines it would go  with a JUICY stoner-roiff with a pinch of psychedelia!


5. poj.wlkp - Śnieg Samotnie [album: Odgłosy Ptaków]



Jedyny riff akustyczny w tym zestawieniu, jako że poj.wlkp zdecydowanie preferuje wydobywać ze swych strun złożone palcowe melodie, ale to właśnie dzięki temu energicznemu uderzeniu rozmarzony słuchacz wraca do życia i daje się pochłonąć prostej opowieści o mocnej, nastoletniej miłości z dawnych lat.

The only acoustic riff in this list, due to the fact that poj.wlkp decidedly prefers fingered melodies than strumming. But it is this energetic riff that snaps the listener out of nostalgia and into a simple tale of teenage love from days long gone.


4. Jan Strach - Niewiarygordon! [album: Balearen Kanaren E.P.]



Najnowsza z prezentowanych tu propozycji, dla odmiany w pełni instrumentalna - pewnie prowadzi nas przez dzieje życia Niewiarygordona, pełne mocy i energii, z małym dodatkiem trąb i małym kryzysem w środku, ale ale - już wraca i czadu daje raz jeszcze!

The newest proposition here, fully instrumental for change - it guides us swiftly through the life and times of Niewiarygordon, full of powere and energy, with a smattering of horns and a bit of a mid-life crisis, but oh - here he is back on his feet, jamming out once more!


3. Projekt Luty - Teraz i Na Zawsze [album: Lambada]



Pewnego razu Projekt Luty, znany z tego, że robi co chce, a często wychodzi coś czego nie chciał i wszystko zostaje na kasecie, zdecydował że zrobi matematyczne screamo. Wyszedł jak zawsze - kolejny Projekt Luty. Ale śród domorosłych wrzasków i Stacha molestującego casio-perkusję ostało się kilka riffowych perełek śród których ta czarna perła lśni najbardziej. Jest prosta rosnąca progresja i niesymetryczny przekładaniec - na zmianę, w pół-improwizowanym transie - i działa!

Once upon a time Porjekt Luty, known for doing whatever the hell they want and sometimes coming up with something they did not want but decided to save it onto tape anyway, decided they are going for a math-screamo sound. What they came up with, however - was as usual, another Projekt Luty album. But, amidst homegrown screams and bellows, and Stan molesting casio-drums, some riff-gems shine through. And amidst those, the brightest is this black pearl. A simple ascending progression interspersed with asymmetrical fingering - alternately, in half-improvised trance - and there you go!


2. Jan Strach - Ucięte Skrzydła [album: Jan Strach Otwiera Szafkę]



Jako swój pierwszy album Jan Strach zdecydował się odważnie opublikować nie nowe piosenki, ale najstarsze jakie znalazł na starych kasetach i wybrał spośród zakurzonych, nastoletnich kompozycji. I trochę mu teraz wstyd, że jeden z najlepszych riffów jakie stworzył, powstał w wieku 18 lat i został nagrany w pokoju gościnnym rodzinnego mieszkania na poznańskim Łazarzu. A jeszcze bardziej mu wstyd że na pierwszej połowie piosenki nagrał coś innego, wskutek czego potężny riff który dzielnie prowadził kompozycję, tu powraca tylko na chwilę, w [1:26]. "Ucięte Skrzydła" zostały, całkiem dosłownie, ucięte :/

As his debut album, Jan Strach has bravely decided to publish not new songs, but the oldest songs he was able to find on old cassette tapes and choose from dusty, teenage compositions. And today he is a little ashamed that one of the most powerful riffs that he has ever come up with, was created at age of 18 and recorded in a living room of his family apartment in the Łazarz district of Poznań. And he is even more ashamed that he mistakenly recorded something else onto the first half of the song, and thus the powerful riff that opened and led the first part of the song, here returns only for a moment at [1:26]. "The Cut-off wings" have been quite literally, cut off. :/

Jak cała płyta, nagrany na Łazarzu za spuszczonymi roletami, przy udziale kolegów i koleżanek, nie do końca wiedzących czego się spodziewać. "Doskonałość" nie jest to słowo zrazu kojarzące się z Projektem Luty, w samym swoim założeniu czyniącym przypadek i chaos równie istotnym elementem muzyki co instrumenty i wokale. Więc go nie użyję. Tym niemniej, partie gitarowe w "Pająku", jedynej płycie Projektu Luty nagranej bez udziału Stacha, nadal, po tylu latach zachwycają kolorytem i dynamiką. Od rzewnego motywu, przez prosty, agresywny refren aż do Najdoskonalszego ze wszystkich momentu w [1:50] - nadal bije riffowe rekordy w Underpolen, chwyta za serce, wyrywa je z piersi i rzuca w ocean AGRESYWNEJ KONTEMPLACYI..

As the rest of the record, this song was recorded on Poznań's Łazarz behind drawn curtains, with participation of friends male and female, unsure of what to expect. "Perfection" is not a word commonly associated with Projekt Luty, an outfit that makes chaos and accidents an equal agent as musical instruments in theri activity. So I won't use that word. However, the guitar parts in "Pająk", title piece from the only Projekt Luty record not containing Stan, is still, after so many years, enthralling with its color and dynamics. From the plaintive verse, through simple, pummeling chorus until the most perfect moment starting at [1:50] - it still beats the riff record in Underpolen, grabbing my heart, ripping out of my chest and throwing it into a boiling ocean of AGRESSIVE CONTEMPLATION.

ROK 2017 zaczęliśmy wydaniem EPki Jana Stracha "Rosknrolmusis E.P.". Wydanie poprzedzone w roku poprzednim było singielkami "Skok ze Skarpy" oraz "...Jak To Nie Będzie Medalu?"

The YEAR 2017 began by the premiere of Jan Strach EP "Rosknrolmusus E.P.". The release was preceded in 2016 with singles "Skok ze Skarpy" and "...Jak To Nie Będzie Medalu?"

Jako że EPki Jana stracha pełnią zazwyczaj funkcję porządkową, zbierając w 6ciu zgrabnych utworach wszystkie roczne ekstrawagancje powstałe przy nagrywaniu innych materiałów długogrających, zazwyczaj porażają miszmaszem stylistycznym. Takoż, zaczynając od retro sci-fi waveu epka zapodaje post rock, potem hecny casiopop z turecką zurną, zaczem brudny hymn, nawarstwiony gitarowy hałas i post-punkowe rozgorączkowane coś na koniec.

As all Jan Strach EPs usually serve an organisational purpose, collecting in 6 nifty tunes all extravagances that came up while recording other, longplaying material, usually they shock with stylistic jumble. Also here, we begin with retro sci-fi wave, then a post rock number, next some arhythmic pop with turkish zurna, a dirty anthem, layered guitar noise and a post-punk, feverish thing:

I jeszcze pod koniec stycznia zasunęliśmy NIESPODZIANKĘ ale taką że nie mogę - teledysk do uwtoru "Boże Ciało" Projektu Luty. Musicie bowiem wiedzieć że pod koniec roku 2016 stareńki lap top Underpolen odmówił współpracy w zakresie edytowania teledysków, przegrzewając się za każdą jedną razą. Zrozpaczeni, zwróciliśmy się w stronę rozwiązań online. Rozwiązania online powiedziały: "owszem, możecie użyć naszych edytorów i efektów. Ale darmowo możecie stworzyć albo jeden 15 sekundowy odcineczkeg na 1go użytkownika, albo też - dłuższe ale pierdolniemy sobie nasze wyjebiste logo w narożniku". Jako twór NIEZALEŻNY ALTERNATYWNY który ma SWOJĄ DUMĘ nie zastanawialiśmy się długo. Założyliśmy 15 kont i stworzyliśmy Epokowe, pełne efektów specjalnych punk-disco dzieło z wielkim logiem w narożniku:

Still in the end of January we provided a SURPRISE but wow oh so awesome - amusic video for the song "Boże Ciało" by Projekt Luty. For you must know that by the end of 2016 or senile Underpolen laptop refused to cooperate re: video editing, overheating each and every time. Desperate, we turned toeards online solutions. Online solutions replied: oh fine, you can use our effects and editors. But for free, you can only make a 15 second snippet per account, OR - longer but we shall imprint our big-ass logo in the corner of your work". As an INDEPENDENT ALTERNATIVE formation that has a CERTAIN PRIDE we did not think very long. We made 15 accounts and made an epic, brimful of effects, work of punk-disco art with a big-ass logo in the corner:

W lutym nieśmiałym, zwiewnym instrumentalem przypomniał o sobie horti-folkowy poj.wlkp, powracający z uśpienia po czterech latach przerwy:

Na cześć niedawno zmarłego dziadka, publikując piękną transformację utworu tytułowego do kultowego niemieckiego filmu "Winnetou" z lat 60tych - jako że dziadek był ogromnym pasjonatem dzieł Karola Maya, kolekcjonując w swym długim życiu całą ich ścianę:

At the beginning of March, also our chief drone experimenter Secrets Of The 45 reared its experimental head. To honor his recently deceased grandfather, he published a beautiful transformation of the title theme of cult german movie "Winnetou" form the 60ties - as the grandpa wa a huge Karl May fan - and amassed a whole wall of his books during his long lifetime:

A pod koniec marca premierę miał PIĘKNY nowy teledysk poj.wlkp do nadchodzącej płyty, prezentując w sennym montażu letnich pejzaży z lat 70-tych, pełną sennego lata nową piosenkę "Upał Pszczół": moje południe / co spływa gęsto  z brzóz / fiolet słońca / odbiera roślinom dech...

And by the end of March the BEAUTIFUL new music video by poj.wlkp premiered, presenting in a dreamy monatge of summer moments from the seventies, a dreamy number from the upcoming album - "Upał Pszczół": my afternoon / dripping densely from birches / the purple of the sun / taking the plants' breath away...

Jakoż nadszedł nam kwiecień a z nim singiel z nadchodzącej wielkimi krokami nowej płyty długogrającej Jana Stracha. Singiel nosił tytuł "Z Głowy" i zawierał zsamplowanego synka.

Along came April and with it, a single from the upcoming new full album by Jan Strach. The Single was titled "Z głowy" and contained sampled Strach junior.

Kwiatki, pszczółki i tego. Oto i maj i wraz z rozkwitem tulipąków i rozmarynów, rozkwitła współpraca z Unfinite Records, zaprzyjaźnioną wytwórnię z dalekiego JUESEJ - którym wydawnictwa naszego skromnego poj.wlkp spodobały się na tyle, że zaproponowali globalny REMASTERING całej kolekcji i udostępnienie poprawionych wersji wszystkich płyt poj..wlkp na swojej stronie - do zakupu za sensowną sumę. By zakup był jeszcze sensowniejszy, dorzuciliśmy do każdego ze zremasterowanych wydawnictw 1-2 utwory bonusowe, nigdy wcześniej nie publikowane.

After no less than 12 YEARS HIATUS, back came Nhumbhrukh, our homebred agressive growling barking noise-grindcore ANIMAL, immediately sweeping away competition with his collection of crazy compositions for heavy guitars, steamrollin' blastbeats, stuttering synth chords, mysterious samples and furious screaming/wailing. Oh my.

Jest czerwiec! Pojawia się nowy utwór Jana Stracha z nowej płyty, NIEPODOBNY DO NCIZEGO INNEGO PIERWEJ. Kręcą się hałaśliwe pętle perkusyji casio, krzyczy pan MC, rozbłyskują tryumfalne trąby wa wśród tego wszystkiego rapuje Pan Strach: "Oczywiście że pragnę śmierci, kto nie pragnie! / Ale najpierw chcę zostać pradziadkiem! Tis June! Tis Jan Strachs new tune. From the new album, UNLIKE ANYTHING BEFOREHAND. Casio drum loops are spinning, MC is shouting one! two! Tryumphant synth trumpets burst with brightness. Among this all, mr Strach rapping: "OF course I want to die, who doesn't? / but before that I want to become a great-grandfather! Dying is the last thing that I want to di-baby!" and it is true, it shall be the last thing each of us does. Soe before that let's do everything else.

I jeszcze w tym samym miesiącu o którym pisaliśmy przed chwilą. Pierwszy w historii ale nie ostatni, PODWODNY TELEDYSK do utwóru naszej cybernoisowej gwiazdy Nhumbhrukh! Tytuł utworu "Brzeg" tyle że brzegu tu nie ma, jeno głębia i żarłoczna gwiazdnica czyszcząca wszystko na swojej drodze wśród wybuchowych efektów, zupełnie jak muzyka Nhumbhrukh. Kto by pomyślał że wrzaski, industrialne wizgi i blastbeaty tak dobrze się komponują ze szkarłupniem polującym na ślimaka!!!

And in the same month that we mentioned earlier, the first in history, UNDERWATER MUSIC VIDEO for a soing by Nhumbhrukh, our cybernoise star! The title is "Brzeg" [shore] but it is far from shore here, just depths and a voracious sunflower starfish cleaning everything on its way, among explosions and effects - just like Nhumbhrukh's music! Who would have though that groiwlings and industrial squelches and blastbeats can be so nicely visualized by an echinoderm hunting a snail!!!

Już lipiec a z nim WIELKA PREMIERA nowego albumu Jana Stracha, doniosłe wydarzenie i płyta jak zwykle ponad wszystkie porzednie, pełna ryzykownych zabaw hałasem a echem, a w sercu przecie melodycjna i z POST-POPową duszą. Psychodeliczny chaos pop. Coś w tym jest. Ale też hałaśliwe gitary, zaskakujące sample i post-wszystko zjeżdżające się razem w radosnym kotle. Post-rocki, post-punki, post-Midi, post-anowienie żeby wszystko jeszcze brudniej, głośniej, eksperymentowniej. I udało się, aż głowa paruje. No udało się znowu.

It is July and with July a GRAND PREMIERE of new album by Jan Strach, a happening of epic proportions and an album, as always, above all the preceding ones, full of risky fun with noise, echoes but at heart melodical and POt-Pop. Pseychedelic post-pop, something to that extent. But also, noisy guitars, suprprising samples and post-everything gliding together in a joyous cauldron. Post-rocks, post-punks, post-midi, post-ulating more dirt, more noise, more experiments and it succeeds ladies and gents, it suceeds and we're short of breath.

W sierpniu łapaliśmy oddech pomiędzy dwoma ogromnymi premierami: Janem Strachem i...

So we needed to catch our breath again during August, between two very important premieres: Jan Strach and...

PREMIERĄ płyty "Do Zorzy" poj.wlkp, melancholijno-depresyjną odsłoną Jana Stracha, której poświęca najpiękniejsze swe melodie i najbardziej osobiste teksty. Nic dziwnego że cztery lata trwało, nim po poprzendiej płycie. "Północ Półsen Półdzień" autor uzbierał kolejną porcję skarbów z dna serca osadzonych w delikatnych, nierealnych melodiach gitarowo-syntezatorowych. Doceniamy ten ból, mimo że jak poj.wlkp sam śpiewa na samym poczatku: "Wpisując to tutaj na kartkę / wpisuję siebie sam w pułapkę / jedyna rada nie słuchać, jedeyna rada uciekać, jedyna rada wszystko zagłuszać, i nigdy, nigdy nie przestać"

A PREMIERE of the album "Do Zorzy" by poj.wlkp, the melancholically-depressive project of Jan Strach, to which he devotes the most beautiful melodies and most personal lyrics. No wonder it took him four years to collect another portion of terasures from his heart's bottom after his previous album "Północ Półsen Półdzień" - personal sounds located within gorgeous, delicate guitar and synth melodies. We appreciate this struggle, even though, as poj.wlkp sings at the very beginning "by writing this all down on paper/I pull myself into a trap/the only way is to stop listening, to run away, to tune it out and never go back"

I choć zrobiło nam się smutno i nastrojowo, dwa tygodnie przyjechał Stach tym samym wksrzeszając nasz niezawodny ROckowy experyment Projekt Luty kolejną sesją improwizowaną, podczas której wznieśliśmy się na wyżyny ROCKA i GRUNGE i KRAUT-PSYCHODELII,  której rezultatem będzie płyta "Grzybnia" w roku 2018! A tak to wyglądało:

And although we got a little sad, two weeks later came Stan, reviving  our unstoppable Rock Experiment PROJEKT LUTY with another improv-rock session which took us to the very heights of ROCK and GRUNGE and KRAUT-PSYCHEDELICS, which shall result in the new album "Grzybnia" coming in 2018! Here's what it looked like:

W październiku szykowaliśmy nowy utworek Don't Look At Me I Am Deformed, który końcem ukazał się na początku listopada. DLAMIAD to twór osobliwy, tworzący muzyke teoretycznie taneczną, skladając zszyte grubą nitką elementy utworów juz istniejących, celem uzyskania prymitywnie łomaczących troglodisco-miniatur. Tak było do tej pory. Ale nowa płyta, którą zapowiada utwór "Ortalionation" będzie trochę z innej bajki: Każdy utwór będzie poskładany wyłacznie z fragmentów reklam i zwiastunów polskiej telewizji przełomu lat 80/90!

In October we were preparing the new song by Don't Look At Me I Am Deformed, which was published at the beginning of November. DLAMIAD is a very special creature, creating a theoretically dancable music by sewing together, frankenstein-like, already existing pop tunes in order to obtain primitively bouncing troglodisco-miniatures. That was before. But the new album, which this new track "Ortalionation" announces, will be a tad different. Each song will be made out of fragments of commercials and idents of Polish TV from the breakthrough of 80/90s!

Całą resztę listopada tarzaliśmy się w błocie i liściach.

We spent the rest of November wallowing in mud and leaves.

Zaś w grudniu, rzutem na taśmę, wypuściliśmy jeszcze jeden nowy, zwiewny i niewinny singielek do nadchodzącej w roku 2018 nowej EP-ki Jana Stracha "Balearen Kanaren" Ep-ka jaka będzie - patrz wyżej - absolutny zbiór rzeczy z różnych półek uzyskanych w trakcie innych sesji - będzie gotyk z organami, ballada na dyktafon, casio-pop, instrumentalny post-punk, lekkie techenko...A póki co ten utwór chóralny a capella, a jako teledysk - opis przejścia pierwszej gry komputerowej autorstwa JS, w której to uciekamy z doliny zalewanej wodą. Znamienite, jako że tytuł piosenki to "Woda Pada Mido Domu":

And in December, we managed to put out one more tune, a single for the upcoming in 2018, Jn Strachs new EP "Balearen Kanaren". What will the WP be like? Look above. An absolute haphazard collection of different things that were born during recording sessions for previous albums - we have a gothic organ song, dictaphone ballad, casio-pop, instrumental post-punk, a hint of techno...and also this here choral acapella number , and as the music video - a walkthrough for Jan Starch's first computer game in which you have to escape from a flooded valley. How fitting, the title of the song being "Water Dripping Into My Home":
